How
Members develop leadership and communication skills at weekly meetings. Once a week, members deliver prepared and impromptu speeches and practice evaluating others' speeches. Each club has a professional Toastmaster from District 96 attend every meeting as a speaking coach. In some occasions, other Toastmasters attend as guest speakers and give members workshops on developing their speech skills.
Who
Our members are youth aged 12-17 from elementary and secondary schools across Greater Vancouver.

There are three Gavel Clubs in Vancouver (UBC, Kerrisdale, and Killarney). Please see the individual club pages under 'Clubs' for more detail.
