Darren Frew has been an active
Toastmaster since 2007. He was named Toastmaster of the Year in British Columbia for 2010/2011. Darren became a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) in 2014.
He has also been active in Speech Contests; Darren was
the 2015 Table Topics champion and the 2016 Evaluation champion for District 96. Darren uses the skills he gains from Toastmasters to share his experiences as a recent cancer patient with the B.C. Cancer Agency, BCIT School of Health Sciences and Fraser Health, in an ongoing effort to improve overall care and treatment. Darren is also a volunteer Instructor with the 808 Air Cadet Squadron in Coquitlam, B.C., helping cadets prepare for the annual Effective Speaking competition. When he is not talking, Darren enjoys gardening, cooking and traveling throughout beautiful B.C.
