It's an honour to lead a unique organization like Vancouver Gavel Club (VGC), which straddles Toastmasters and the local youth community. We owe so much to the late Annie Wang, who built VGC from the ground up.

We've been running for ten years. I help make this possible by providing administrative support and mentorship to our staff and member executives. As a District 96 official, I liaise with our province-wide Toastmasters network on exclusive opportunities, such as workshops facilitated by contest-winning speakers.

More critically, though, I strive to create a semi-professional yet fun atmosphere where our members learn and grow. I believe that developing a unique speaking style and taking on close-knit leadership opportunities is crucial to forming one's identity. This is why I and all our Counselors are guiding mentors, but our MO is letting our members participate and steer VGC as much as possible. I believe the earlier you start Toastmasters, the better!
